Weirder than durian?

Snake fruit. 

The shell is hard like polished wood. Scaly polished wood, but still. 

The inner segments look remarkably like garlic cloves, and have a disconcertingly similar texture, bur taste a little sour and a little sweet.

I give it a thumbs up, though I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to seek one out.
